What Counselling Can Help With

Relationships

There are times that your relationship may need a little help and support. Whether you want to strengthen your relationship, learn some skills to improve your communication, gain some conflict resolution skills or to work through a major challenge or event in your lives counselling can provide support, encouragement, strategies and skills to work through whatever life throws at you and your relationship.

Whether this is a relationship with your partner, parent, sibling, friend or work colleague I am here to help.

If you find yourself facing relationship breakdown, separation or divorce counselling can help guide you through this process.

Anxiety

Living with anxiety can truly be the pits.

Whether your anxiety is a nagging nuisance or a raging IT that is ravaging your life, you can learn how to tame the beast.

There are skills, strategies to help alleviate this difficult condition.

You can also learn why and how your anxiety exists – where it originates from and how you can learn from IT to make positive changes in your life.

Depression

Depression can steal all the joy out of the life if we let it. It takes away confidence, self esteem, happiness.

Depression may be likened to a never ending roller-coaster, or a dark, deep fog where we struggle to find light or hope.

I can help you understand your depression and where it originates, and help you have a happier, more authentic relationship with yourself that will help you beat your battle with this difficult condition.

Grief and Loss

Losing a loved one is tough, and it can feel like no one really understands how you are feeling.

Talking to someone who understands the grief and loss experience from both a personal and professional perspective, can help you feel less alone and will help to support and encourage you as you grieve the loss of your someone special and important to you.

Parenting

Parenting is hard work! Don’t I know it!

If you are struggling with this new transition in your life, that’s normal.

Becoming a parent is one of the most challenging, but also most rewarding, experiences you can go through.

If you are finding it tough and need some tips, encouragement, education or ideas, speaking to a professional counsellor can help you feel less alone.

If you think you may be suffering from postnatal depression, counselling is even more important.

I am the parent of 4 children, so I draw from both personal and professional experience, in helping you work through whatever struggles you are experiencing.

ADHD Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder

Living with ADHD brings both its share of struggles, challenges, strengths and joys.

If you would like to learn how to manage your condition and the accompanying roller coaster of emotions or mental health struggles that often accompany ADHD, come and have a chat and I can work with you to find a new way of living that offers strategies, skills and ideas of how to live more confidently and joyfully.
