About Connie

Since 2003 I have been working as a counsellor, in both private practice and with organizations such as Lifeline, Anglicare and Relationships Australia.

I am passionate about the difference that counselling can make in your life.

My counselling services are in Engadine and Sutherland Shire areas.  Specializing in couples, relationship and marriage counselling, grief and loss, suicide bereavement, parenting, family, mother and daughter relationships, anxiety, depression, self-esteem and marriage preparation.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Social Science, majoring in Counselling & Communication Studies
  • Graduate Certificate in Emotionally Focused Therapy
  • Certificate 1V in Workplace & Assessment training
  • Prepare/Enrich Facilitator
  • Gottman Method Couples Therapy, Levels 1 &2

Experience

  • I have extensive experience working with those who have experienced grief and loss, including bereavement by suicide.
  • I also have extensive experience of working with relationships – couples or families – in whatever form they come in.
  • Much of my work experience has included working with those who experience anxiety, depression and other aligned mental health issues.
  • I am an experienced trainer and group facilitator and can present training or group work.  Topics I present on include Communication, Relationships, Parenting, Managing Strong Emotions, Self Esteem, Grief and Loss, Suicide Bereavement.

 

Personal

I have been married for nearly 40 years and have 4 beautiful children. I live in the Sutherland Shire and I love living in close proximity to the bush and beaches.
